The TORNIER Aequalis Reverse Fracture Shoulder System is indicated for patients with functional deltoid muscle:
  • in the context of total shoulder replacement to relieve pain and significant disability following arthropathy associated with a massive and non-repairable rotator cuff tear.
  • in cases of fracture of glenohumeral joint from trauma or pathologic conditions of the shoulder.
  • in cases of bone defect, fracture, or displacement in the proximal humerus.
  • in cases of prosthetic revisions with grossly deficient rotator cuff when other treatments or devices have failed.
  • in cases where the glenoid bone stock appears to be insufficient to support the glenoid components.
  • Reverse Fracture

The TORNIER Aequalis Resurfacing Head allows surgeons to restore the normal joint mechanics and stability of the shoulder with minimal bone resection, while preserving precious humeral bone stock for the future. This conservative resurfacing approach requires replacing the diseased humeral head surface for high-demand patients with early stage avascular necrosis or glenohumeral joint disease.
